The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!

I know it has been a ridiculous amount of time since my last post, but its all for cause.... The James Cause. Life is settling in a little more and I'm feeling less crazy...I think. So you might be hearing from me more, Maybe! All I have to say is 2 is a killer in every sense of the word. Two boys, two kids, a two year old etc.. WOW!
Anyway we went to see santa last weekend and I thought I should probably post the picture before christmas is over, since I missed posting halloween and thanksgiving.
Gabe is so into Christmas this year and everything about it. He loved sitting on Santa's Lap. He even told him he wanted toys, cars, trains, treats, and candy and wished him a Merry Christmas as we left! It was so cute. He lovessssssss Christmas. Every morning and every time we come home as we sees the tree all lit up he says "oh its christmas... My christmas tree"... His favorite Christmas movie is the Polar Express. He sings the Hot chocolate song and you bettered watch out daily!! I would have to admit it is also becoming one of my favorites too. It is so fun to see his face light up at the beauty in the lights, the christmas story and all the other magical things that naturally come with Christmas. I used to help my mom every year with christmas since I was the oldest at home.. I loved seeing my sister my two youngest sisters faces light up when they saw the fun things santa brought them... I think it is even better as a MOM.

7 weeks old and cuter than ever!

Our little James is 7 weeks old. He gets cuter and cuter everyday, as we get to know him and his personality a little better. He is a lot happier baby then he was even last week. His crying after feedings is down to a minimum and he is now smiling a ton. Those big gummy grins make the last 7 weeks seem all worth it. We love him so much and can't imagine our life without him (although a good nights sleep is very and only imaginable right now).

Gardner Village

The boys and I went to Gardner Village two Satudays ago while Garrett went hunting. We went with my Mom, Krissta and Melissa and the girls. I was a lot of fun for us and the kids. Here are some pictures.

James is One Month Old!

James is getting so big already. On monday he turned one month. At his three weeks dr. Apt he weighed 8lbs 6oz and was 20 1/2 inches and has already surpassed that. He is growing like a weed. It's sad in a way to have to retire the newborn clothes that were once big on his little 6 lbs body, but at the same time it means he is healthy. He is starting to smile and is so cute. He had a rough couple of weeks, but I think that we are on the downhill slope with the fussiness. Thank heavens or I might have gone to the crazy house. There is nothing more nerve racking to me then hours of listening to a screaming baby. Especially when you have no idea what is wrong and how to help them. We have figured out ways to help him and he is feeling better. Here are some pictures of the last few weeks.

Gabe loves his brother

James watching the Ute game with Dad at Steph and Bradon's. Yes, this is not a normal occurrence for my BYU loving husband. But I guess when your brother -in- law plays for the utes you have to be a ute fan. Well at least for a season. We love you Steph and Bradon!

Gade loves his new shrek toothbrush and wants to brush his teeth all the time.

Gabe fell outside and got this lovely fat lip last week.

The Story Behind the Name-

Our little James is named after my Dad, James Joseph Passanante. James' middle name was also inspired by my Dad's middle name, but also by both of my awesome Grandpa's; Joseph Aaron Clinger and Joseph Anthony Passanante. I love family names if you can't tell. I have loved the name James since I was a little girl. If I were a boy my parents were going to name me Jesse James. Well, I was obviously a girl and because of that they decided not to give me a middle name. I was always mad that I never had a middle name so I decided to tell people my middle name was James. I thought it was so cool to share my name with my dad. I loved this name so much that I decided long ago that one of my boys would be named James. James was one of my top picks for Gabe too, but Garrett wasn't too into it until he really got to know my Dad. Garrett grew to love the name because of the man behind it. We knew from the day we found out James was a boy that was his name. As I get to know him better day by day I am so glad we choose James as his name. He is definitely a James. We love you little guy!

My Little Helper/Monster

Gabe loves to help me with the baby. In-fact he calls him "My baby!" and is very protective of him. He loves to hold him and to help me burp him, change his diaper, put his binki in his mouth, pick out his cloths and he has even tried to feed him. He has also struggled at times with not having all the attention. I think he is finally realizing that James is not going away. Today has been a hard day for him and he has acted out a lot. I'm hoping that this will pass. Until it does, I love you Gabe.
