Words of Wisdom- By Gabe

Today at our table eating lunch
Gabe turns to me and says the following:
Gabe: "You're a good Mom!"
Me: "I am?"
Gabe: "Ya, you are!...Today...Probably cuz you took a nap!"
Thanks Gabe for the clarification!
Ps- I didn't get a nap, just a decent nights sleep!

Fall Leaves and Friends

These are some pictures of the boys helping all our sweet neighbor kids rake leaves. I love all these kids so much. They are all so special. Each has there own unique characteristics and qualities that make them who they are.

Gabe and Xidis- Xidis is very friendly and adventerous. He is an amazing bike rider (down stairs and off jumps) and a great stake boarder. This kid has got skills.

Gabe with Andrew. Andrew is sooo sweet and easy going. Gabe loves playing with him. When they play it is truly all play and NO fighting. They really get along so great.

Gabe helping Dalton- the oldest and wisest neighbor kid

Our James

Sweet mazzie always has a smile on her face and loves to give love to everyone. She gives the best hugs.

James thinks he is a big boy. He always wants to do what the big kids are doing.

The little princesses- Sweet Vivi and Sohpia. They are both such GIRLS. Vivi loves to draw and bring me beautiful art all the time. She is my best little friend. Sophia is a great dancer and a great leader/big sister. She reminds me of myself a lot.

Van the Man- Gabe's best friend since birth. He is so silly, which Gabe LOVES. You can always expect a good laugh with Van around.

All the kids working together.

Gabe helping Joe and Jenny. Joe is such a gentle soul and always includes the little kids. Jenny LOVES james and I'm sure other babies. She has the most beautiful dark brown eyes and the most incredible verbal skills.

Our Home Sweet Home

Many of you know we moved into a townhouse on campus last January. It has been the best thing for our family. We have had so much more room and the BEST neighbors ever. These pictures were taken right before Halloween. Our yard looks so beautiful. We did put in a lot of work to get it looking that as good as it did. We took out a patch of wild flowers in corner area. In it's place we put in grass and a row of flowers. On the other side we took out rose bushes (all but one) and in their place we put grass and flowers. We are really going to miss it when we move this summer! I guess we will be on the bigger and better things. Or at least we hope.

The Dynamic Duo!!

It a Bird?

It a Plane?

It's Batman and Robin!!
I forgot to post these on my halloween post.

Halloween at This is the Place

We had so much fun on Halloween day at This is the Place Heritage Park. There was trick or treating, crafts, and other activities available to kids of all sizes. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the company while there. Thanks for coming with us Nanny and Brent. It was so fun.

This year Gabe really got it and loved going to each house. He isn't a big candy eater, but had fun anyway. He made a corn husk doll, played with the animals, rode the train, listened to halloween stories by a witch and got his face painted. James just was happy to be out of the house and in Bampa (Brents) arms. It was a Halloween to be remembered.

Carving pumpkins

Last monday for family home evening we carved our pumpkins. We all were involved at different steps in the process. Gabe really got into it this year. He cleaned them all out by hand (with a little help from mom and dad). But as soon as he was done wanted to be clean again. He hates messy hands. Although James wasn't too interested, we did manage to get him dig a little of the insides out. He was more interested in riding bikes and playing with balls. They were all very homemade. No stencils this year. Maybe we'll have cool ones next year.

Trunk or Treat/ Ward Halloween Party

We had fun dressing up for our ward halloween party. It was fun to see all the kids and parents dressed up too. I'm not exactly sure why we do trunk or treats. I know it is safer, but Utah is pretty safe. It's just too much candy with trick or treating too....but anyway the dinner was great. I made turkey/vegetable chili. There was a large variety of other soups and salads. SO FUN!
