Salt Lake City Marathon 5K

Last Saturday Garrett, the Kids and I ran the SLC Marathon 5K. I had been getting ready to run the Half- Marathon, but injured my achillies tendon about 2 months ago. I wasn't able to run on it for about a month and then when I could start running again I had to increase my miles very slowly. So, I decided to run the 5K instead. I ran up ahead while Garrett ran with the kids in the running stroller. We both ended up doing good. I ran it in about 22 mins and Garrett did it in about 28 mins. My injury is doing much better now. It still bugs me if I run a little more then I should have or if I don't stretch it well after a longer run. Luckily through all this I was still able to do other activities with little or no pain. I was able to continue teaching Spinning, do the elliptical, the stair climber and lift weights.

Jess,

You do an amazing job on your blog site. I'm very proud of you and all that you do! You are such a great Mom and Wife. I love those two little boys so much! Thanks for going to Wicked with us. It would of been complete if Stacie could of been with us there also. Great job on the 5K!
