The Story Behind the Name-

Our little James is named after my Dad, James Joseph Passanante. James' middle name was also inspired by my Dad's middle name, but also by both of my awesome Grandpa's; Joseph Aaron Clinger and Joseph Anthony Passanante. I love family names if you can't tell. I have loved the name James since I was a little girl. If I were a boy my parents were going to name me Jesse James. Well, I was obviously a girl and because of that they decided not to give me a middle name. I was always mad that I never had a middle name so I decided to tell people my middle name was James. I thought it was so cool to share my name with my dad. I loved this name so much that I decided long ago that one of my boys would be named James. James was one of my top picks for Gabe too, but Garrett wasn't too into it until he really got to know my Dad. Garrett grew to love the name because of the man behind it. We knew from the day we found out James was a boy that was his name. As I get to know him better day by day I am so glad we choose James as his name. He is definitely a James. We love you little guy!

My Little Helper/Monster

Gabe loves to help me with the baby. In-fact he calls him "My baby!" and is very protective of him. He loves to hold him and to help me burp him, change his diaper, put his binki in his mouth, pick out his cloths and he has even tried to feed him. He has also struggled at times with not having all the attention. I think he is finally realizing that James is not going away. Today has been a hard day for him and he has acted out a lot. I'm hoping that this will pass. Until it does, I love you Gabe.

Coming home with James

On wednesday afternoon James and I finally got to come home. It is nice to be in the comfort of my own home again. Since then James has been doing fantastically. He is the greatest nurser (unlike his brother) and I am producing enough milk for triplets (if you know anyone who needs a wet nurse let me know). He is also sleeping like a champ. He sleeps about 4+ hours at night. He is eating about every 3-4 hours in the day and when he wakes up at night. He is so sweet and there is such a peace in our home. Gabe came home for one night and then went to be with my mom for a few days. He has loved spending time with all his grandparents. It will be interesting to add him back in the mix tomorrow. I'm a little nervous knowing that I can't pick him up and do a lot of the things with him I was doing. He doesn't like that much and of course doesn't understand why. I feel bad, but I'm not supposed to lift anything greater then 10 lbs for six weeks so as to not reopen my incision. I guess that we will just have to make those adjustments and hope he becomes ok with it. Gabe loves James and wants to hold him constantly. He loves to point out his eyes, nose, ears, mouth, etc. as well as poke at them. I am also doing well. I feel good other than a small-moderate amt pain, fatigue, and a rash with bilsters on my incision (Allergic reaction to the steri-strips). I hope that these next few weeks pass quickly so that I can again fully resume being a normal person and mother.
