On wednesday afternoon James and I finally got to come home. It is nice to be in the comfort of my own home again. Since then James has been doing fantastically. He is the greatest nurser (unlike his brother) and I am producing enough milk for triplets (if you know anyone who needs a wet nurse let me know). He is also sleeping like a champ. He sleeps about 4+ hours at night. He is eating about every 3-4 hours in the day and when he wakes up at night. He is so sweet and there is such a peace in our home. Gabe came home for one night and then went to be with my mom for a few days. He has loved spending time with all his grandparents. It will be interesting to add him back in the mix tomorrow. I'm a little nervous knowing that I can't pick him up and do a lot of the things with him I was doing. He doesn't like that much and of course doesn't understand why. I feel bad, but I'm not supposed to lift anything greater then 10 lbs for six weeks so as to not reopen my incision. I guess that we will just have to make those adjustments and hope he becomes ok with it. Gabe loves James and wants to hold him constantly. He loves to point out his eyes, nose, ears, mouth, etc. as well as poke at them. I am also doing well. I feel good other than a small-moderate amt pain, fatigue, and a rash with bilsters on my incision (Allergic reaction to the steri-strips). I hope that these next few weeks pass quickly so that I can again fully resume being a normal person and mother. Our last few minutes at St. Marks
Just a darling couple of boys! James is so stinking cute and Gabers is a doll and getting so big. He is such a big boy now days! I sure hope that you recover quickly too! I believe you will. I am so happy that nursing is going well for you too! Let me know if you need to talk or anything. I may be in Pittsburgh, but only a phone call away! Loves, Stacie
Congrats!!! He is darling! Nice picture right before c-section, you look too good! I'm glad nursing is going well, that can always be a frustration. The second time around was better for me. Congrats and good luck with the recovery/sleep.

How great to be home! I completely get the 'needing to recover, but still wanting to take care of and hold all of your children' thing. Let us know when Gabe can come and play - maybe we can give him a few hugs (and you can get some rest).

Five years and two kids later, we are finally not students, YAY! Garrett graduated from medical school in May and is now in his first year of residency at IMC in Murray, Utah and will finish up his residency in dermatology at the Mayo Clinic beginning next July. I'm busy raising our two boys and working full-time as the Assistant Nurse Manager RN at the U Of U in the Physical Medicine and Rehab Clinic. I also teach spinning two evenings a week. We are a very busy family, but we are dedicated to each other and our goal of being able to busy a house next year and we won't back down until we get it. It gets a little crazy at times, but life is good. Our Gabe will be 4 in October and James is 2.
Last summer we had the chance to go to Italy to meet my Italian family. We also were able to visits sights we have always dreamed of visiting. My family was so hospitable and generous. They picked us up from the airport, took us on a few day trips in and around rome, and had us over for dinner. It was like we had known them all our lives. The sights we saw were amazing and will be forever cherished.
Just the two of us in Italy
