We had fun dressing up for our ward halloween party. It was fun to see all the kids and parents dressed up too. I'm not exactly sure why we do trunk or treats. I know it is safer, but Utah is pretty safe. It's just too much candy with trick or treating too....but anyway the dinner was great. I made turkey/vegetable chili. There was a large variety of other soups and salads. SO FUN!

Bath time fun!
Party TIme!
We celebrated Gabe's birthday several times last week because I lOVE birthdays. Garrett and I got to go to his preschool, where I brought whole wheat sucanut brownies. We exchanged books as a birthday tradition in his class. We choose one of his favorite Thomas the Train books to give. In return he was given book called Five Green and Speckled Frogs. It was so much fun. Best of all Gabe felt soooo special. We celebrated Gabe and James birthday last weekend at our home. It was a blast! Gabe loved dressing up and having all his friends and some of his family there (we missed you Eliza, Lucas, Oliver, Papa Jim and Susana..and all other family far away ). His favorite activity was the pinata, because he actually got to hit something without getting in trouble. It was very cold, but oh so fun. Thanks to all you who hung in there. James was kind of a bum. He cried most of the time because I couldn't hold him. Still hoping he will completely grow out of his whinning nature, but I don't expect it. Maybe next year will be a better one for him.

Growing up so fast!
I can't believe that it has been almost a year since this little man came into the world. I'll be perfectly honest, I do not remember much of his first 6 months. In fact, almost nothing, except the sound of a crying babe. I really feel bad saying that but, I think that my subconscious has blocked it out because it was so torturous at times. I'm happy to say that things are looking up and he is a very happy 10.5 month old.
At his 9 month apt he was 18 lbs 10 oz (one pound less then gabe was at the same age) and 10th-25th percentile. He was 27 inches long which puts him in the 10th percentile. James has been crawling for almost 3 months now and is very active. His favorite trick is climbing our stairs with his big brother. He loves Gabe so much and most of the time has fun playing with him. He loves to talk.. he says mama, dada, dog, dat( for that and points to things), ha (for hi and waves his hand), num num(food),ita ( for krissta- his favorite aunt). He is a great sleeper, taking two naps a day and sleeping around 12 hours at night. His favorite foods are; Green beans, bananas, his bottle and he also loves sippy cups. His still has yet to break a tooth. We anxiously await the day so that he can have more solids and quit spitting up all day. He is still on previced and I count my blessing to have encountered this drug for his horrible reflux/crying. Over all he is healthy and sooo cute. We love and adore our little James.
JAMES at 8.5 months -
I love how these turned out. I had to use this teacup before he got too big.
